Frog Pond Friend Club Issue 1: Happy Holi-ween!

I like community projects - it’s fun getting people together to work on something big. However, a lot of zines in the public eye on Twitter end up scaling to massive proportions which require lots of upkeep and management. Zines were born as a way for an individual or a group of individuals to self-publish and distribute their work at whatever level of quality they wanted for whatever they wanted. Seeing as this doesn’t really seem to exist in any form in the OC Twitter space, I thought it would be cool to grab some fellas and just make it happen. Hell, you could just ignore this and decide to make your own project with the exact same idea as mine - I don’t care LOL. I just want to make cool books of cool characters and I’m willing to spearhead it to see it through. Hardest step of making a product is always taking that first step to make it y’know?

Frog Pond Friend Club is quarterly independent zine that aims to spotlight original works from a variety of online creators. It exists to provide a opportunity for online artists to work as a collective and share their work against the tides of social media, while being less demanding than the typical “social media zine”.

Issue 1: Happy Holi-ween! is an amalgamation of Christmas and Halloween as we were working on this issue between these two holidays.

Funds raised from FPFC will be used to support future physical releases. Once Issue 2 releases, this issue will become free.
